If you’ve ever been in the hospital for an operation you know that things can be a little unnerving as you are the center of attention when you really would rather be somewhere else, anywhere but there would be better. No matter how nice and efficient the staff is, you look around for something to focus on. One thing that has made a difference for some nervous unwilling patients is what the staff is wearing. The clothes worn by those caring individuals that are trying to make your visit less unnerving have come a long way from the same old blue or green scrubs. Those taking care of you, whether they are taking your name or taking your pulse, are now wearing colorful scrubs like Barco Metro scrubs. There are even scrubs with cartoon characters on them, flower prints, and just nicely matched scrubs of a variety of colors.

It does not even matter what the brand is as most people have never shopped for scrubs. Some people might have heard of Dickie scrubs because they make other clothes also and are even in fashion with the younger crowd. It is pretty certain that people who come in and find the clothing fun and interesting may be distracted enough to at least feel more comfortable than if they came in and saw everyone in the same loose fitting green scrubs. It used to seem more like a processing plant than a hospital at times. That may be a stretch but you know what I mean if you’ve ever gone in for an operation when you’re frightened.
